Some great racing yesterday, not least the dual to the line between Dawn Approach and Toronado…it could easily have gone either way and both horses have gone a long way to rebuild their reputations after their respective previous performances.
Day 2 of Royal Ascot looks even trickier than Day 1 to fathom…and I will tentatively be loooking to back Thistle Bird e/w (3:05pm), The Fugue (3:45pm), and Prince of Johanne e/w (4:25pm).
I have 3 Daily Selections today, and although Tuesdays selection finished 3rd, it was a close 3rd at reasonable price (15/2 SP) and would have rewarded e/w backers.
The 1st day of Royal Ascot promises to be a cracker…and I will be backing both Animal Kingdon (2:30pm) and Magician (3:45pm), with a small e/w wager on Big Easy (5pm).
I have just ONE Daily selection.
Two Daily Selections today.
Elsewhere, Ducab (Windsor 8:35pm) is a likely winner, whilst both Rakaan (Windsor 8:05pm) and Cuckoo Rock (Warwick 6:20pm) have chances.
One winner yesterday, and a quiet day today so just the one selection.
Elsewhere, Imperial Glance should go well (Salisbury 5:35pm), and Hallelujah should be in the mix in a competitive race (Salisbury 4:00pm).
A realatively quiet Saturday racing,as Ascot looms on the horizon. I have just 2 Daily Selections for your consideration.
Elsewhere, Knights Parade (Bath 4:15pm), Great Oak (Hexham 2:45pm), and Italian Riviera (Lingfield 7:55pm) are likely winners, whilst Es que Love (Musselburgh 4:10pm) could be in the frame at a reasonable price.
Both of yesterdays Daily Selections won (Cushion 9/2 & Cardigan Island 9/2), and it would nice to get a winner from todays 3 Daily Selections.
Elsewhere, Auld Alliance is a likely winner (Chepstow 8:25pm) as is Potomac (Aintree 5:55pm), whilst it is possible Marshland (Sandown 2:10pm) could be in the frame at a decent price.
E/w backers would have had a small return yesterday with Amazing Blue Sky managing a 3rd place at 9/1, but Spanish Art is proving to be a frustrating horse and came a less dignified 5th.
Today, a further 2 Daily Selections. Elsewhere, Saint Jerome might grab a place at a reasonable price, and Morpheus (Nottingham 4:45pm) is a likely winner.
Girl of Cadiz (7/1) and My Mate Vinnie (7/4f) were both 2nd yesterday, so I would like to go one step closer with both of todays Daily Selections.
Elsewhere, Duke Cosimo (Kempton 7:10pm) and Vastly (Yarmouth 4:40pm) look likely winners, whilst Jungle Bay may be in the mix (Kempton 8:40pm).
Both of yesterdays mentions in the blog yesterday (Cornish Cowboy 9/2, and Lord Lescribaa 12/1) won, but both Daily Selections failed to live up to expectations.
Today another duo of Daily Selections, and I think Big Thunder is a likely winner (Lingfield 9:00pm) and Pategonia could also run a big race (Lingfield 8:30pm).
A winner yesterday with Honoured at Nottingham, and today I have another 2 Daily Selections.
Thecornishcowwboy (Brighton 3:15pm) might run better than his curent price suggests, as might Lorde Lescribaa (Newton Abbot 5:30pm)).
All of yesterdays selections had chances, and 2 were hampered in running, but unfortunately that is so often the way of things and we ended with a disappointing trio of losers!
Today just one Daily Selection.
Elsewhere, Momkinzain (Perth 3:30pm) and Cool baranca (Perth 5pm) could run big races.
A nice winner yesterday as Sail and Return came home a winner.
Today I have 3 daily Selections, and I am also suggest Man of Leisure (Stratford 6:15pm) and Nupur (Catterick 5:50pm) as likely winners, whilst Heavy Metal (Newmarket 2:55pm) and Dazinski (Haydock 2:05pm) could run big races at big prices!
Nice winner at the end of the day yesterday as Cashpoint came home comfortably 1st.
Today just One Daily Selection, and I also like the chances of AdrenalinFlight (Stratford 6:25pm) and Seamless (Newmarket 3:10pm), whilst Mystical Man might get in the frame (Pontefract 8:05pm).
It is a little frustrating at the moment, but never-the-less I have One Daily selection for today.
Elsewhere, Royale Knight (Ffos Las 4:35pm) and My Lucky Flame (Worcester 8:05pm) are likely winners, and Pobs Trophy (Worcester 9:10pm) could well go close.
Close but no cigar yesterday, so we go again with another 3 Daily Selections.
Elsewhere, Thunder Sheikh (Newton Abbot 2:20pm) should go close, as could Amenable (Southwell 5:00pm), whilst Spavento (Ayr 3:40pm) and Street Artist (Southwell 4pm) are likely winners.
One winner from 2 on yesterdays Daily Selections, and a nice 12/1(SP) winner on the ratings page made for a good day.
Today, 3 Daily Selections.
Elsewhere, Sparkling Hand (Hexham 6:40pm) could make an impression, and Balding Banker should live up to his name and win at Hexham (6:10pm).
Two Daily Selections today, and not a lot else to get excited about. I suspect Saayer will win (Windsor 5:30pm), and Thakana (Leicester 4:45pm) might grab a place.
