Published June 18, 2013 | Some great racing yesterday, not least the dual to the line between Dawn Approach and Toronado…it could easily have gone either way and both horses have gone a long way to rebuild their reputations after their respective previous performances.
Day 2 of Royal Ascot looks even trickier than Day 1 to fathom…and I will tentatively be loooking to back Thistle Bird e/w (3:05pm), The Fugue (3:45pm), and Prince of Johanne e/w (4:25pm).
I have 3 Daily Selections today, and although Tuesdays selection finished 3rd, it was a close 3rd at reasonable price (15/2 SP) and would have rewarded e/w backers.
